Jeera Rice

Ingredients:
Jeera: 1tsp
Jeera powder:1 tsp
Onion:1 chopped
Green chillies: 2-3 chopped
Capsicum: 1/4 cup chopped
Kaju: 1tbsp (cut to small pieces)
Boiled Rice: 1 cup
Salt to taste
Oil/Ghee:1 tsp

Procedure:

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add Jeera, Kaju and fry till golden brown
  • Add Onions and chillies fry till golden brown
  • Add Jeera powder, Capsicum and fry till capsicum is cooked slightly.
  • Add Rice and salt and mix thoroughly.
Jeera Rice is ready to be served.

Veg Fried Rice

Ingredients
Spring onions: 1/4 cup chopped
Carrot:1/4 cup chopped
Beans:1/4 cup chopped
Green peas: 1/4 cup chopped
Cabbage:1/4 cup chopped
Capsicum:1/4 cup chopped(Assorted colors)
Onion:1 medium sliced
Greenchillies:2 chopped
Boiled Rice:1 cup
Soya sauce:1 tsp
chill sauce:1tsp
Ajinamoto:1 pinch
Salt to taste
oil:1 tbsp

Procedure

  • Heat oil in a Pan. Add onions, greenchillies and fry till golden brown
  • Add all vegetables one by one and saute till moisture evaporates and veggies are slightly cooked
  • Add salt, ajinomoto and the sauses mix well
  • Add rice and mix thoroughly
Veg Fried rice is ready to be served.
Tip: If you are not using fresh/frozen green peas boil them.

Mixed veg momos



Cabbage: grated 1 cup
Carrot: chopped finely 1 cup
Green peas:1 cup
capsicum:1 cup finely chopped
Spring onion:1 cup finely chopped
Salt to taste
Maida:1 cup
Tomato ketchup: 1tsp
Chilli sauce:1 tsp
Ajinomoto:pinch
Soya Sauce:1 tsp
Pepper: 1/4 tsp

Greenchillies:1-2 finely chopped


Procedure:

  • Make a dough of Maida after adding 1/4 tsp of salt, using hot water.
  • Take 1 tsp of oil and heat it in a pan
  • Add the vegetables one by one and saute them (the vegetables need to be still crisp)
  • Add the chilli sauce, soya sauce, ajinomoto,pepper and salt.
  • mix well and saute till the moisture evaporates
  • Make small puris from the dough and stuff them with the vegetable mixture and make a small potli (momo shape). Close the edges properly.
  • After all momos are ready place them in a steamer or on an idli stand and steam for about 15-20 mins.



momos are ready to be served. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
